Studio Café is Live

The footage from the Studio Café video shoot back in March is now live on YouTube! My performance of Jacob T.V.’s “Pimpin” starts right after the opening credits. As a bonus, at 4:30, you’ll see one of the luckiest escapes from a technical malfunction I’ve ever experienced. S’what makes live performance exciting, right? Right! Remember kids, friends don’t let friends perform with decrepit equipment.

Unfortunately, my rendition of Benjamin Taylor’s “Drum ‘N’ Bari” was omitted from the YouTube video. Possibly for timing? Your guess is as good as mine. Already, I can feel my memory of that take turning rose-tinted. I’ll be talking it up as the Take That Got Away for awhile yet.

Last-Minute Performance

Theaters Tilburg has asked me to play a couple musical interludes for the upcoming Studio Café taping on March 6th. My performance will feature two pieces for baritone saxophone and electronics: Jacob T.V.’s Pimpin’, and Benjamin Taylor’s Drum ‘N’ Bari. Entrance to the event is free, but Theaters Tilburg asks that guests reserve tickets in advance, which you can do here. Hope to see you there!
